How to get to Elba
During the summer season car ferries leave from Piombino to Portoferraio - main Elba Island town - almost hourly. There are also daily ferries from Cavo and Rio Marina. The shipping companies are Toremar, Moby Lines, Blu Navy and Corsica Ferries.
The crossing from Piombino to Portoferraio takes one 40/60 minutes, the crossing from Piombino to Cavo takes 35 minutes, to Rio Marina takes 45 minutes.
A hydrofoil service (no cars), which arrives only in Portoferraio and Cavo, takes 35 minutes.
We offer to our guests the possibility to get Blunavy's ferry tickets at the best price ! The ferry crossing can only be booked by the Resort staff with the Blu Navy ferry company, in agreement with the Ilva Agency in Portoferraio. For more informations and price list, please contact us.
- By car:
From the North of Italy:
from Milano take the A1 motorway, change to the A15 at Parma Ovest to join the A12 Genova-Livorno exit later at Rosignano. Continue on dual-carriageway as far as right-hand sign to " Venturina/Isola d'Elba". Continue on the main road until you reach Piombino Marittima/Portoferraio.
From the North-East: Take the A1 motorway Bologna-Firenze-Pisa-Livorno exit later at Rosignano and continue as above.
Alternatively: take the S.G.C. (not a motorway but a very good road) Firenze-Pisa-Livorno, exit at Firenze Scandicci and follow the main road as far as Collesalvetti. At Collesalvetti re-join the motorway straight on to Rosignano, then dual carriageway as above down to Piombino.
From the South: Take the A12 Roma-Grosseto, continue on the main road "the Aurelia": exit at Venturina-Isola d'Elba then follow as above for Piombino.
- By plane:
During the summer Elba is connected by some flights by foreign companies from the following airports: Lugano.
The airport is located in La Pila, approx. 12 km from our campsite.

The train station of Piombino Marittima is 50 meters far to the ferries departures (see www.trenitalia.it)
